Welcome

The team proposing the new Sulis Down community acknowledge that this is a very special location. It is the edge of a World Heritage City, adjacent to the Green Belt designation and the South Stoke Conservation Area.  It also presents the opportunity to deliver a bespoke neighbourhood specific for the setting.

The Hignett Family Trust and Bloor Homes have decided to undertake a further phase of public consultation that will aim to gauge local views and reflect current planning policies for the site.

Background

During 2014 and 2015 The Hignett Family Trust and Bloor Homes undertook a series of public consultation events in order to guide the proposals. The local community was consulted through a number of public exhibitions and community workshops.

After careful consideration of the consultation responses, The Hignett Family Trust and Bloor Homes have decided to undertake a further phase of public consultation on specific proposals for around 180 homes on land west of Sulis Manor, Odd Down.  The proposals will reflect current planning policies for the site and form part of the Bath and North East Somerset Council’s 2014 Core Strategy.

We have organised a public exhibition event to gauge local views on our proposals prior to submitting a planning application in early 2017.  You are invited to come along and see the draft plans and to speak to members of the design team:
